This year we are including some iconic Comeragh Crossing walks such as one of the most famous day-walks in Ireland, the crossing from Mahon Falls to Ballymacarbry, or a route that has been in place for may be as long as 4,000 years, crossing from Rathgormack to Ballymacarbry, as well as the challenging circuit heading out from Ballymacarbry circumnavigate the Comeragh range and arrive back in Ballymacarbry, against the clock and the weather. There are walks for every level; two of the walks are self-navigated while one walk will be guided. This year we are partnering with Diabetes Ireland and they will have a team of walkers who will be walking the Rathgormack- Ballymacarbry route as a fundraising walk. You can take a sponsorship card or you can join the walk as a regular walker.
The Annual Comeragh Bogtrot, based in the Nire Valley, offers a challenge to walkers of all capabilities from the self-navigated challenge walks to the guided challenge walk. Each walker can choose to take part in whatever grade of walk they feel suits them best. The walks are situated within the Comeragh Mountains Co. Waterford.
